An engaging presentation to the Western Cape and Boland coaches, offering Locker Room Power and U.K. coaching insight. The coaches wanted to know how to manage the relationship between player, parent and coach. This unique relationship needs to be cultivated and developed with the specific personalities and circumstances in mind. Every relationship has its own problems and opportunities; all three parties must be on board to guarantee success. Parents and players need to be educated from the beginning to facilitate successful decision making. Additionally, we investigated how to motivate the developing, young players who are dealing with huge amounts of distractions and external pressures.
A Locker Room Power presentation captivated coaches and teams based in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The fully engaged players responded brilliantly with questions to test the application of the LRP theory in their different competitive scenarios. We looked at how to support and keep motivating team mates through a performance plateau as well as alternative strategies, if visualising does not work during plan A.
